Fit/Size

Needed something more protective than my 3mm road shoes with a bit of grip for running on trails. These are perfect in that they have just enough protection from stones that I tend to not see as I often run with a buggy, but not so much I'll overstride and twist my knee again. Does well on wet gravel and grass, less well in deep mud.

Fit is not bad, I bought the men's as I have a wide forefoot. I'm not getting a very good fit around my skinny ankle, but still better than women's vivobarefoot. At least it's not letting in gravel

What do you think this product is best for (ie trail running, road running, gym, beginners, advanced)?
Running on gravel paths or any trail in the summer, not fell or winter cross country

Fit/Size

The Spyridon MR has been a fantastic trail running shoe for me all this season. I just ran a 35 mile / 55 km ultra in it, expecting to get at least some kind of blistering or abrasion - especially since the weather was wet throughout and the terrain was hilly and uneven. It was totally comfortable throughout. I'd say it's the most minimalist trail shoe out there, providing protection for your sole while giving a very clear feeling of the terrain beneath. Note: to wear this shoe without danger of injury, you should have experience in a barefoot running style with a forefoot strike.

What do you think this product is best for (ie trail running, road running, gym, beginners, advanced)?
Trail running.
What are the pros of this product?
For minimalist runners, this is simply the best trail shoe on the market. Lightweight. Very comfortable. Also handles well on ice due to the large surface area of tread.
What are the cons of this product?
Does NOT handle well in the mud - which is ironic, given its name! The tread is only a few millimetres deep, so it simply doesn't provide very much traction when the going its mucky. I wouldn't recommend the Spyridon on highly technical courses with a lot of jagged rock, as there isn't enough protection, but otherwise it's fine, just what I want: a shoe to protect without dumbing down my feet.
Does the product come up large/small/true to size?
True.
